To reach it, you have to venture by sea, using the services of the boatmen from Giglio Porto, or on foot along a dirt path that starts from the Spiaggia delle Cannelle. This path, surrounded by lush Mediterranean scrub, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the deep blue sea. Also, starting in 2021, a floating café has been introduced where visitors can buy cold drinks, coffee and ice cream. However, as there are no other amenities, it is advisable to bring along everything you need for a packed lunch and enough water.
How to reach the Caldane beach
Caldane beach is located south of Giglio Porto and Cannelle beach. It can be reached in less than ten minutes by taxi boat from Giglio Porto. For those who prefer a walk, there is a beautiful path that runs along the sea, immersed in the colors and smells of the Mediterranean scrub. Starting from Giglio Porto, you can follow the paved road up to Spiaggia delle Cannelle and then continue on the dirt path, recognizable by the number 23, for another 20 minutes.
