What to do...
in Winter

Even if Giglio Island is a touristic site mostly visited in the summer period, during the winter months it offers mild temperatures and warm sun.

During autumn-winter Giglio island releases its truly wild soul and often similar to the works painted by Caspar David Friedrich when rough waters break onto the granite rocks.

Hunting and fishing is the main attraction in the off season.

The number of inhabitants during these months are reduced, nevertheless, events and festivities are celebrated thanks to our association Pro Loco which ensures the organization of Christmas parties, New Years Eve, Carnival and other minor public holidays.

Walking one finds , myrtles full of berries, wild marigolds, tiny white narcissus with a yellow heart and intense perfume. You will be surrounded by rosemaries with blue and violet flowers, and be inebriated with the smell of wintery sea , wild perfumes and wintry flowers. Simply unique.
