There are around 700 different species of plants on Giglio island, and some of them are common e.g. lemon and fig trees, orange and, chestnut trees, olive groves and vineyards.


From studies of the botanist Stefano Sommier in 1900, the presence of unknown plants such as“Cardo Cefalanto”, Linaria delle Capre”, “Astragalo”, “Valerianella Microcarpa”, “Gladiolo Dubius” and “Artemisia Arborescente” were discovered.
